Zariya AI is a platform built on one of the most overlooked yet deeply human problems: accessibility in digital hiring. While urban employment has been redefined by platforms like LinkedIn and Naukri, rural workers, our maids, cooks, guards, and gardeners have remained invisible in the digital landscape.

Think about your maids, cooks, sweepers, guards & gardeners: did you ever find them on LinkedIn? Of course not. Conventional hiring platforms have done the classic privileged mistake of assuming they’d go through ten pages of authentications, sign-ups and searching in the English Language for someone who’s barely studied till 5th Grade; essentially rendering them out of the digitization cycle. Not due to the lack of options, but simple inaccessibility.

This is what Zariya stands for: using conversation AI to connect people who have never used a digital hiring app before, ensuring accessibility not through interfaces but through language.

While the job-seeker side operates entirely through Zariya Call AI, the employer side relies on this app to manage postings, discover candidates, and handle hiring.

My work focused on completing the missing product pieces and improving flow consistency, including:

  • Zariya database & credits flow

  • Job posting preview page

  • Employer profile page & settings section

  • Edge cases and error states for the entire platform

The Zariya Database was envisioned as a feature that allows employers to access a pool of pre-screened candidates collected through Zariya Call AI. This module also introduced a monetization layer, where employers spend credits to view complete candidate profiles.

Given that Zariya AI primarily caters to employers from semi-urban and rural regions, the interface needed to be intuitive, visual-first, and free of clutter. Every screen follows a minimal, easy-to-scan structure with clear CTAs placed directly on cards and action areas, ensuring users instantly understand what to do next.

This visual hierarchy not only improves accessibility for users with limited digital literacy but also builds trust through familiarity.

Working on Zariya AI gave me the opportunity to design within real-world constraints for a product that bridges accessibility and technology at scale. My focus on the Database and supporting flows taught me how to think systemically: connecting user goals, business logic, and interface clarity.

From exploring edge cases to refining micro-interactions, the goal was to make every part of the experience feel considered and humane.

Zariya’s mission to make AI-powered employment accessible to every corner of India wasn’t just about building clean UI; it was about building digital comfort for users who are often left out of the tech narrative.
