It started with me staring at my overstuffed wardrobe, realizing I wear maybe 10% of it, and still feel like I have nothing to wear.
It started with me staring at my overstuffed wardrobe, realizing I wear maybe 10% of it, and still feel like I have nothing to wear.
That moment sparked a thought: Imagine an Airbnb for clothes , where you could rent, thrift or sell outfits, all in one place! That idea became Loopfit, and my entry point into the world of Product Design.
To be honest, I had no idea what I was doing when I started. I didn’t have a concrete roadmap, I had zero case studies under my belt, and a serious case of impostor syndrome :’D

Help people do good (for the planet and their wallets) while still enjoying fashion. But designing for sustainable behavior isn’t just about good intentions, it’s about reducing friction. This is the story of Loopfit, a project that taught me design isn’t about knowing everything at your first project, it’s about being curious enough to figure it out.

Problem Statement
Problem Statement
While interest in sustainable fashion is rising, most rental and thrift platforms in India still feel confusing, untrustworthy, and hard to use. There’s a need for a simple, reliable space where anyone, regardless of experience, can rent, sell, or thrift clothes with ease.
Target Audience: GenZ & Millennials

Currently, no major digital platform currently offers a streamlined, all-in-one experience for this. This leaves a gap in the market for a platform like Loopfit, which can formalize and scale circular fashion experiences.

Meet Riya, a 27-year-old working woman newly shifted to Delhi. She has her best friend’s wedding coming up and doesn’t want to spend ₹7,000 on a lehenga she’ll only wear once.
She’s open to renting, but doesn’t know of any offline stores, and the wedding is approaching soon.

Then there’s Anya, a 19-year-old college student in Pune. Her closet’s overflowing with impulse buys (us, sister). She’s curious, could she turn those pre-loved clothes into pocket money?

Observations & Feedback:
Observations & Feedback:
Task 1:
Some expected to see “Occasion” as a section on the homepage, not under advanced options.
One user suggested to add a separate button to add dates rather than keeping it in filters.
Task 2
3 users initially struggled to find the profile switch toggle.
The form felt intuitive and beginner friendly
Task 3
This task was easily completed by everyone
One user suggested to add an option upload a photo in case of false returns.

Everything couldn’t fit into the first version, but here are a few ideas I’d love to see come alive in the future of this project:
Features to donate old clothes in return of in-app currency.
AI-based related suggestions to promote increase in bag items.
Curated rental bundles for specific events
Partner with local tailors or designers to offer affordable alterations and customizations.
That’s a wrap on my first UX case study — from wardrobe chaos to wireframes. Thanks for reading!
